Senior Full-Stack Engineer
Own features end to end on Pacific POS — the product that runs live transactions in real businesses, where the person who writes a feature is the person who hears about it when it breaks.

What the work is
You will take features from a described problem to something running in production: schema, API, interface, and the operational work of watching it behave once real orders are going through it. Pacific POS processes live transactions in real businesses, so the feedback loop is short and unusually direct — that is the most satisfying part of the job and the part that demands the most care.
The work is broad rather than deep in one layer. A small team building a POS, an EHR, a fleet system and client software does not have a dedicated specialist for each concern, so you will move between product work, infrastructure and the occasional client engagement. That suits some engineers enormously and others badly, and it is worth knowing which you are before you write to us.
What we look for
Several years of building and running web applications you stayed responsible for after launch. Comfort across a database, an API and a browser — we are not looking for equal depth in all three, but you should not need somebody else to change a query.
The judgement to know when a problem deserves a general solution and when it deserves the smallest one that works. Most of what makes this codebase pleasant to work in is the second decision being made correctly.
How to apply
Tell us what you have built and what you would want to work on here. Specifics beat a cover letter. We read everything and we reply either way, because not hearing back is the worst part of applying anywhere.
